Korean Prime Minister: "Must Respond to Citizens' Urgent Voices by Passing Livelihood Bills and Budget"
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo said at the high-level party-government-national assembly meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Samcheong-dong on the 3rd, "Debates unrelated to the lives of the people continue in the National Assembly," and added, "I hope the National Assembly will promptly respond to the urgent voices of the people and proceed with the passage of livelihood economic bills and next year's budget bill."
He continued, "The regular session of the National Assembly for this year is about to end, but unfortunately, the legal deadline for the passage of next year's budget bill for economic recovery and livelihood stabilization has already passed, and urgent bills have not yet been processed," pointing out the issue.
Prime Minister Han identified five bills that require prompt processing, including the amendment to the Framework Act on Disaster and Safety Management, which specifies responsibility for accidents without a host, and the amendment to the Outdoor Advertising Act to prevent the proliferation of party banners.
Regarding winter livelihood measures, he said, "The government will make every effort to ensure stable power supply during the winter season and will examine whether there are any blind spots for vulnerable groups during the winter and implement necessary measures."

He added, "The Prime Minister and ministers will actively visit livelihood sites to strengthen efforts to identify and resolve problems."
