Jomin Posts Jeong Gyeongshim's Handwritten Note on SNS
Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, revealed a handwritten note from her mother, former Dongyang University professor Jeong Gyeong-sim.
On the 1st, Cho Min posted a photo of the note written by Jeong on her social media (SNS). In the note, Jeong wrote, "To my beloved daughter Min, you are the best just as you are! Thank you so much! 2023. 11. From Mom"

View original imageJeong was indicted on charges including forgery of Cho Min's Dongyang University certificate and exerting unfair influence on college admissions (obstruction of business), and in January last year, the Supreme Court confirmed a four-year prison sentence.
Her full release date is scheduled for August next year, but she was released on parole last September. Under current law, those sentenced to imprisonment with labor can be paroled after serving one-third of their sentence.
Recently, Jeong published an essay titled I Will Grieve Alone, documenting her life in prison. The book includes her experiences during 3 years and 2 months in detention, religious encounters, reflections on her life, and letters to her family.

Jeong’s husband, former Minister Cho Kuk, and Cho Min have also published essays titled Tears of Dike and Still Moving Forward Today, respectively. Both essays made it onto the bestseller lists.
