Gyeonggi-do Receives Consumer Day Meritorious Institution Award... 9 Consecutive Years of Recognition
Gyeonggi Province has been selected as an excellent institution in consumer policy evaluations for nine consecutive years.
On the 1st, Gyeonggi Province announced that it received an institutional commendation from the Fair Trade Commission Chairman at the '28th Consumer Day' commemorative event held at EL Tower in Yangjae, Seoul.
In the comprehensive evaluation of the implementation performance of the consumer policy plan last year, Gyeonggi Province received a very excellent average score for 10 basic tasks, and one representative task also received a very excellent grade, ranking first nationwide. In particular, it ranked third nationwide in the evaluation of law enforcement performance in the special transaction sector, earning the honor of being selected as an excellent local government for nine consecutive years since 2015.
The award ceremony was attended by 32 individuals including consumer group activists, public institution and company executives and employees, and university professors who have worked to promote consumer rights, as well as 23 organizations including companies and metropolitan cities and provinces.

Heo Seong-cheol, Director of the Fair Economy Division of Gyeonggi Province, emphasized, "In 2024, we will establish tasks according to policy goals in four areas: safety, transactions, capacity, and damage relief, and strive to promote consumer rights."
