KB Securities, 'M-able Wide' Surpasses 320,000 Access Users Within One Month of Launch
KB Securities announced on the 1st that the cumulative number of users accessing 'Marvel (M-able) Wide' surpassed 320,000 just over a month after its launch.
Launched on the 1st of last month, M-able Wide is a platform that allows trading of domestic and overseas stocks simply by accessing a web browser, without the need for separate login or installation of a Home Trading System (HTS). It is available on PCs with all operating systems (OS) such as Windows, MacBook, and iMAC, and the same service can be accessed on tablet PCs through the dedicated M-able Wide application.
To mark one month since the service launch, KB Securities analyzed the usage devices and age groups of customers who logged into M-able Wide between November 1 and November 26.
First, an analysis of device data used for M-able Wide showed that the devices most frequently used by customers to access M-able Wide were Windows PCs (66.3%), tablet PCs (22.8%), and Mac OS (10.6%), in that order.
This is interpreted as highlighting the accessibility that allows investors who mainly used HTS on Windows PCs to easily trade stocks just by accessing a web browser, while also providing the expertise of HTS such as stock trading charts and trading menu editing (widget) functions. It is also seen as an increase in convenience for existing tablet PC and Mac OS users.
Next, the main age groups using M-able Wide were found to be people in their 40s (30.7%), 30s (20.2%), and 50s (19.3%), in that order.
Despite M-able Wide being a new platform that may be unfamiliar to investors, its easy accessibility combined with convenience features that allow users to view essential investment information at once?such as major domestic and international market conditions available on existing online media, AI-powered market news, theme information, and Today’s Pick?seems to have attracted the core investor groups aged 30 to 50.
Regarding login methods, it was confirmed that 75.7% of customers used the newly introduced QR login method through M-able Wide, recording the highest figure. M-able Wide appears to reflect customer demand for enhanced security and simplified login procedures even in login methods.
Additionally, the proportion of overseas stock trading amounts on M-able Wide was 11.8%. With various features specialized for overseas stocks such as diverse charts, personalized trading screens, importing expert screens, and widgets, which are UX/UI customization functions, the proportion of overseas stock trading amounts is expected to increase further in the future.
KB Securities is conducting the 'M-able Wide Grand Open Event' to celebrate the launch of M-able Wide until the 31st. Various benefits are available, including receiving raffle tickets for prizes (MacBook, iPad, etc.) by completing missions such as logging in and purchasing stocks on M-able Wide, receiving stock coupons worth 3,000 won, and participating in review events.
