Osong Life Science Industrial Complex, Priority Negotiation Candidate Selected for Private Consortium Project to Build Complex Facilities

The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (Chairman Lee Sang-hoon) announced on the 30th that the Daeheung Construction Consortium has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the construction project of a complex facility within the Osong Bio-Health National Industrial Complex.
The consortium was chosen as the preferred negotiation partner for the "Osong Bio-Health Startup Ecosystem Creation Private Competition" announced last August, and was finally decided after the project plan review by the evaluation committee on the 15th.
This project was promoted to expand the insufficient startup company occupancy space and worker convenience and support facilities within the Osong Bio-Science Industrial Complex. The site area is 9,918㎡, and the selected business operator proposed ▲specialized education for startup companies ▲arrangement of labor cost benefits utilizing the Ministry of Education's 'Standard On-site Training Semester System' ▲provision of a venture convention hall and open shared office ▲provision of startup incubation space based on a business structure that meets the requirements presented in the competition criteria.
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation provides the necessary site for the project, and the business operator plans and constructs the facilities on the site based on creative planning and development experience, and operates them for up to 40 years. This project is expected to play a pioneering role in creating an 'industrial complex sought by youth' by establishing various convenience and welfare facilities that can provide the lacking culture and leisure within the industrial complex.

Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, said, "The complex facility to be established in the Osong Bio-Health National Industrial Complex will promote the startup and activation of the bio-health industry within the industrial complex," and added, "The successful promotion of this project is expected to become a representative case of private-public cooperation type startup support facility construction."
