Busan Office of Education Hosts 'Speaking English 1.1.1. Festival'
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the "Busan Speaking English 1.1.1. Festival" for about 900 elementary and middle school students and their parents at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2 from noon to 5 p.m. on the 2nd.
This event is being held for the first time this year and is designed to strengthen communication skills through student participation speaking programs and to create a speaking boom by expanding the participation of parents and the local community.
At the event, various programs such as the English contest finals, foreign language and cultural experience booths including American, Japanese, Chinese, and South African, hands-on experience booths like English snapbacks and glitter bouquets, recreation, and musical performances will be operated.
A total of 52 teams from elementary and middle schools in Busan participated in the preliminaries of the English contests including UCC, logo song, and 1-minute family speaking. On the day of the event, a total of 22 teams (7 UCC teams, 7 logo song teams, and 8 teams for the 1-minute family speaking challenge) who passed the preliminaries will take the stage.
