Gwangju National Science Museum Successfully Hosts 'Radio+Experience Zone' and Other Interactive Events
The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 28th that it held the Radio Wave Broadcasting Industry Promotion Week event under the theme of 'A Digital Co-prosperity Society Expanded by Radio Waves.'
The Korea Radio Promotion Agency, which co-hosted the event, invited about 200 students from Naju area including Jeonnam Science High School on the 14th and arranged a science lecture by Professor Kim Gap-jin from the Department of Physics at KAIST.
They also conducted the ‘Radio Talk Talk! Talk Concert,’ which consisted of radio wave broadcasting experiences including the Gwangju Science Museum’s mobile science vehicle.
The Gwangju Science Museum operated experiential programs for visitors such as ▲ Radio+ Experience Zone ▲ Radio Exploration Team ▲ Broadcasting Talk Talk! Video Production Special Lecture ▲ Radio Wave Performances.
In the newly introduced ‘Radio Wave Finding Contest’ this year, participants used radio receivers to find the locations of transmitters hidden throughout the outdoor area of the science museum, providing a fun way to understand the characteristics of radio waves, which received enthusiastic responses.

For students in the Honam region, the ‘Visiting Radio Class’ saw the Gwangju Science Museum’s mobile science vehicle visit Nokdong Elementary School in Goheung and Seosam Elementary School in Jangseong, and the ‘Radio Wave Exploration Camp,’ which explores scientific principles including radio waves, was successfully held over three sessions.
