hy 'Predit' "New Regular Subscriptions Up 50.2% Year-on-Year"
Analysis of 4.7 Million Recent Purchase Data
High Preference for Ingredients and Household Items
Impact of Rational Consumption Spread Amid High Inflation
hy announced on the 28th that an analysis of 4.7 million recent purchase data from the online mall 'Predit' revealed that the number of new subscription contracts increased by 50.2% compared to the same period last year.
The company analyzed that this result reflects consumer psychology that carefully considers purchase benefits as rational consumption emphasizing cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price) spreads amid high inflation.
hy offers up to a 20% discount on food & life product categories when using Predit subscriptions. There is a high preference for products with regular delivery cycles, such as ingredients like eggs, salads, tofu, and items like wet tissues and toothbrushes.
The most popular item is 'It's On Fresh Eggs.' The number of subscribers increased by about 130% compared to the same period last year. It's On Fresh Eggs can be purchased for 3,990 KRW (for 10 eggs) when using the service. Subscribers to the 'Chicken Breast Salad,' available for subscription at 3,920 KRW, also increased by 94.5%.
Paid membership 'Predit Membership' subscribers have also rapidly increased. The number of subscribers, which was 6,000 in January last year, exceeded 40,000 as of October this year. Predit Membership immediately pays back 40,000 KRW in points, which is more than the annual fee upon joining. It also offers various product trial opportunities, including discount coupons.
