B2N Expands AI Medical Service Business from 'Silver Care' to 'Emergency Care'
BTuen, an AI and big data specialist company (CEOs Joo Hyun-jung and Park Jong-yul), is expanding its AI medical service care business.
On the 28th, BTuen announced that it is participating in the consortium for the “AI-based Digital Transformation Project” of the Central Veterans Hospital (Hospital Director Yoo Geun-young) to establish a one-stop emergency response system. Following the launch of the first phase service “Neul Silver Care Nursing Hospital” targeting elderly patients based on the “Neul Care” platform, the company is expanding its business scope to include “Emergency Care” for urgent patient care within emergency rooms. Subsequently, it plans to rapidly extend its business scope to nursing homes and home care, aiming to become a game changer in the digital healthcare market.
With the establishment of this AI-based one-stop emergency response system, it is expected that patients will have a higher chance of receiving safe care through swift and accurate measures within the golden time. Additionally, patient transfers can be conducted without medical gaps, reducing patient waiting times and improving the overall quality of public medical services, while also alleviating the workload of medical staff.
The consortium aims to integrate medical data from five regional veterans hospitals (Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, Incheon) and eliminate regional medical disparities through digital transformation, supported by 3 billion KRW over two years.
BTuen will supply its self-developed wearable device “Neul Band” and environmental sensor “Neul Hub.” These devices monitor real-time vital information of emergency patients such as body temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. Furthermore, the “Neul Care” platform, equipped with AI algorithms, supports medical staff in quickly assessing the severity of emergency patients.
Not only in emergency rooms but also in ambulances transferring critically ill emergency patients to other hospitals, a hub-to-hub linkage system will be established to monitor patients’ vital data in real time. In cases where severity increases, remote medical alerts will be automatically sent to emergency room medical staff at Central and Incheon Veterans Hospitals, helping to address medical gaps caused by insufficient medical personnel.
The Central Veterans Hospital of the Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service is a public medical institution providing medical and rehabilitation services for national veterans and citizens. To improve the quality of medical services, it is promoting digital transformation by integrating new technologies such as AI and IoT to realize a smart hospital.
Ma Hye-seon, Head of BTuen’s Neul Service Group, said, “We are currently making every effort to complete the first phase of the project,” adding, “After successfully finishing the first phase, we will expand the hub hospitals next year and contribute to building a smart hospital system for veterans hospitals.” She emphasized, “The ‘Neul Care’ platform is designed with scalability in mind, not limited to the ‘Silver Care’ service. Besides Silver Care and Emergency Care, we will continuously expand the healthcare business scope and integrate it into the ‘Neul Care’ platform.”
