Conditions for the Korea-China-Japan Summit... China: "We must face each other and create a good atmosphere"
Chinese diplomatic authorities stated regarding trilateral cooperation among Korea, China, and Japan that "the three countries must work together and move forward facing each other."
Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made this remark on the 27th during a regular briefing when asked to elaborate on the 'conditions' for the trilateral summit.
Spokesperson Wang further emphasized, "The three countries should create a positive atmosphere to achieve favorable outcomes at the summit."
He also referred to the 'Trilateral Joint Vision for the Next Decade' adopted at the 2019 Korea-China-Japan summit, adding that the foreign ministers agreed on the importance of implementing the leaders' shared understanding (consensus) at the foreign ministers' meeting.
On the 26th, Park Jin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea; Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China; and Kamikawa Yoko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, met in Busan and agreed to restore and normalize the trilateral government-level consultative mechanisms that had been suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the meeting, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "The three countries reaffirmed their consensus to hold the summit at the earliest mutually convenient time and decided to accelerate preparations for the next summit."

Meanwhile, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned, "The three countries agreed to create conditions for the summit and to accelerate related preparatory work."
