Anyang 'Gwanak Sumogwon' Pilot Opening Attracts Over 80,000 Visitors in 26 Days
During the 26-day pilot opening of 'Gwanak Arboretum' in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, it was recorded that over 80,000 people visited.
Anyang City announced on the 23rd that from last month 21st to this month 15th, a total of 79,835 visitors came to Seoul National University Gwanak Arboretum, and among them, 4,027 participated in forest healing and woodworking experience programs.
This pilot opening of Gwanak Arboretum was made possible through the exchange cooperation agreement and working-level council signed with Seoul National University in April last year.
In response to the high satisfaction of visitors in spring last year and this year, as well as requests to extend the opening period, Anyang City opened the arboretum for the longest period ever, 26 days.
Anyang City conducted a QR code survey targeting these visitors, and among the 205 respondents, 95.1% answered that they intend to revisit.
Additionally, many expressed opinions that a full opening of the arboretum (61.5%) and a name change are necessary (68.8%).
