Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation Wins 'Communication Grand Prize' at Korea Communication Awards
‘Developing Content and Operating Communication Channels That Meet the Public’s Expectations’ Receives High Praise
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced that it was the only public institution under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to receive the Communication Grand Prize at the 16th Korea Communication Awards held on the 22nd at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by about 300 people including government officials, academia, and experts.
Now in its 16th year, the Korea Communication Awards is the largest communication awards ceremony in Korea, hosted by the Korea Internet Communication Association and supported by the National Assembly, Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Korea Communications Commission. It evaluated 276 companies and 179 public institutions.

View original imageThe Korea Communication Awards involves about 3,000 customer panelists who evaluate satisfaction with the Social Communication Index (SCSI) and Internet Communication Index (ICSI) by industry. To ensure objectivity, the final awardees are selected by reflecting quantitative data analysis, qualitative customer VOC, and expert opinions.
YGPA has been continuing multidimensional customer satisfaction communication activities that meet the public’s expectations, and has been recognized for outstanding achievements such as delivering useful news to port stakeholders and local residents through various channels including YouTube, Kakao Channel, Facebook, Instagram, and blogs.
