Four Additional Defendants Indicted in Group Drug Suspicion Related to 'Police Officer Fall Death' Incident
Four individuals, including three accused of using drugs and one accused of providing the drug use location and narcotics, have been brought to trial in connection with the death of an active-duty police officer who fell from a building in an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kwon Nae-geon) announced on the 21st that Mr. A was arrested and indicted on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances), while Mr. B, Mr. C, and Mr. D were indicted without detention.
Earlier, during the investigation of the incident in which Sergeant E of the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency fell to his death after attending a gathering at the apartment around 5 a.m. on August 27, the police detected signs that the attendees had used drugs and proceeded with the investigation.
According to the prosecution, Mr. A, Mr. C, and Mr. D are accused of using narcotics together with the deceased Sergeant E, while Mr. B is accused of providing the location and narcotics to them.
It is known that Mr. A had a prior record related to drugs before the Yongsan drug gathering.

A prosecution official stated, "We have been closely cooperating with the police from the early stages of the investigation," adding, "The investigation into additional charges is ongoing."
