According to the autonomous police, Mr. A is accused of illegally earning about 600 million KRW by performing implants, orthodontics, and various prosthetic treatments on over 300 elderly patients from December 2016 to August 2022 without a medical license.
Performed unlicensed medical treatments claiming to offer affordable care to the elderly
At the site of the search and seizure, it was confirmed that patients were exposed to a very unsanitary environment, where expired medicines and outdated medical supplies were found in the examination room and workshop.

Mr. A was found to have equipped his single-family house's first floor, where he lived, with medical devices and supplies necessary for dental treatment, such as X-ray equipment, and performed unlicensed medical treatments by claiming to provide affordable care to elderly patients.
Mr. B assisted in the treatments despite not having a nurse's license, and Mr. C, who operates a dental laboratory, knowingly produced and supplied dental prosthetics to Mr. A despite being aware that Mr. A did not have a dental license.
During the search and seizure, the autonomous police reported that expired medicines and outdated medical supplies were found in the treatment and workrooms, exposing patients to a highly unsanitary environment.
After the search and seizure on August 27 last year, Mr. A fled to another region, using a vehicle and mobile phone registered under another person's name, evading the investigation for one year and three months.
The autonomous police finally captured Mr. A, who had been living in hiding, on the 17th after persistent tracking and transported him to Jeju.
