Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is meeting with a trade delegation from Liaoning Province, China, at the Gyeonggi Northern Office in Uijeongbu on the afternoon of the 20th.

On the 20th, Governor Kim met with representatives of the Liaoning economic and trade delegation, including Kim Heon, a member of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, at the Northern Office Situation Room of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government in Uijeongbu. He stated, "I hope that in the future, we can cooperate more extensively in all areas including economic cooperation, investment, culture, tourism, and human exchange between many companies in Liaoning Province and Gyeonggi Province."
He continued, "My recent visit to China was a very meaningful schedule. I met Hao Feng, Party Secretary of Liaoning Province, and Li Lecheng, Governor of the province, and in Beijing, I met He Lifeng, Vice Premier in charge of economic affairs. We discussed the importance of exchanges between central and local governments, gaining valuable experience on strengthening the cooperative relationship between Liaoning Province and Gyeonggi Province. I invited Secretary Hao Feng to Gyeonggi Province next year and look forward to his visit together at that time," he added.
In response, Committee Member Kim Heon said, "To mark the 30th anniversary of the sisterhood between Liaoning Province and Gyeonggi Province, we have come to visit Gyeonggi with 30 outstanding entrepreneurs from Liaoning. Many entrepreneurs wanted to come, but only those interested in investing in Korean companies were selected. We hope that through exchanges with Gyeonggi businesspeople, active trade and investment activities between China and Korea will take place. We want to contribute to further strengthening the friendly relationship between Liaoning Province and Gyeonggi Province," he conveyed.
The delegation will visit Pangyo Techno Valley and participate in the Gyeonggi-Liaoning economic and trade seminar.
The seminar will cover topics such as ▲ trade cooperation strategies in the endemic era ▲ introduction of Liaoning Province companies ▲ strategies for B2B transactions using e-commerce platforms ▲ consumer tendencies toward cultural content.
Liaoning Province, along with Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province, is known as one of the three northeastern provinces of China, with the most developed economy among the three.
Gyeonggi Province established a sisterhood with Liaoning Province in October 1993 and held the 30th anniversary ceremony of the Gyeonggi-Liaoning sisterhood last October.
Additionally, the ‘Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC) Shenyang’ was established in Liaoning Province to support Gyeonggi companies in pioneering overseas markets.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon previously visited China from the 30th of last month to the 3rd of this month to promote the development of Korea-China relations and strengthen exchanges at the metropolitan government level.

During his visit, Governor Kim co-hosted the first tourism cooperation exchange meeting between the two regions in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, and engaged in activities to attract tourists. He also held the 30th anniversary ceremony of the sisterhood with Liaoning Province and signed a joint declaration promising comprehensive cooperation reinforcement in the fields of economy, tourism, culture, and human exchange, thereby strengthening exchanges and cooperation at the metropolitan local government level. In addition, he met with Korean company officials operating in China to listen to their difficulties and exchanged opinions on ways to strengthen Korea-China economic cooperation.
