Dongui University Hosts One-Day Campus Experience Program for Local Residents
On the 18th, Dong-Eui University held the ‘Dong-Eui Youth Let's Build a Village! Big Event’ at the Humanities Building.
Now in its 10th year, the ‘Dong-Eui Youth Let's Build a Village! Big Event’ was hosted by the University Innovation Support Project Group and organized by the Regional Collaboration Center.
The event invited and welcomed 40 residents from nearby neighborhoods including Gayadong, Gaegumdong, Deokcheon-dong, Beomcheon-dong, Hocheon Village, and Anchang Village.

View original imageThe local residents experienced a one-day university program from the entrance ceremony at 10 a.m. to the graduation ceremony at 5 p.m., which included making a village song, campus tours and photography, disaster safety education, Yutnori, bingo games, and a village song contest.
Seven student clubs from six departments, including the Department of Korean Language and Literature, participated in planning and operating the event programs.

Kim Sun-ho, Vice President for External Affairs at Dong-Eui University, told the participating residents, “Please keep in mind Dong-Eui University’s ideal talent, ‘talents who form a forest together,’ and do your best to play the role of talents who form a forest with local neighbors in each village and contribute to the development of the village.”
