Hanyang University Transfers 5G Communication Standard Patent Technology to Hyundai Motor and Kia
Hanyang University announced on the 20th that it has signed a technology transfer agreement with Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors for '5G communication network technology.'

View original imageThe technology transferred this time includes about 10 communication standard patents. It is expected to be applied in a wide range of technological fields where 5G communication networks are utilized, such as macro communication between terminals and base stations, autonomous driving using V2X communication, high-speed data transmission for virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) applications, and sensor networks.
Professor Kim Seon-woo of Hanyang University's Department of Convergence Electronics Engineering, who developed the technology, is researching signal processing and system technologies for high-precision sensing, positioning, and communication in 5G and 6G network environments. He also possesses key core technologies in cooperative communication and sensing fields to support unmanned mobile platforms.
