Goheung-gun and Korea Seven Co., Ltd. Sign Agricultural Products Distribution Business Agreement
Seven Eleven Convenience Store Actively Cooperates in Expanding Market Channels for Goheung Agricultural and Marine Products
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 17th that it signed a business agreement with Korea Seven Co., Ltd., a leading domestic convenience store company, at the Palyongsan Hall of the county office to revitalize the distribution of Gohung agricultural and marine products.
At the signing ceremony, Gohung Deputy Governor Seon Yang-gyu, Seven Eleven Product Director Kim Young-hyuk, and representatives of producers attended, pledging to join forces to discover Gohung agricultural and marine products and revitalize the local economy. They agreed to actively cooperate to develop sales channels and marketing for Gohung agricultural and marine products through nationwide Seven Eleven stores.
Korea Seven Co., Ltd., which signed this business agreement, operates about 14,000 convenience stores including Seven Eleven and Ministop, and is a leading company in the convenience store industry through product brokerage. It strives to enhance mutual benefits through win-win cooperation with cities and counties.
Prior to this agreement, in September, Korea Seven successfully launched and is selling the "Gohung Kkot-hyang Pomegranate Ade," utilizing the pomegranate variety "Kkot-hyang No. 1" developed by Gohung-gun.
Going forward, Gohung-gun and Korea Seven will discover excellent agricultural and marine products from Gohung-gun and contribute to increasing farmers' income by planning and launching various products through continuous information exchange. It is expected that joint benefits will be created through sales promotion.
Deputy Governor Seon Yang-gyu said, "Through Korea Seven's global distribution channels in 20 countries, this agreement will contribute to pioneering export routes for Gohung agricultural products and promote the excellence of Gohung agricultural products. I am pleased about this." He added, "I hope that through the one city-county one company win-win cooperation, it will contribute to revitalizing the local economy and enhance the corporate image to leap forward as a first-class company. I also look forward to various project support and cooperation in the future."
