Publication Promotion Institute to Host '2023 Publishing Industry Review Conference' on the 6th of Next Month

The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 20th that it will hold the "2023 Publishing Industry Conference ? Review and Outlook" at 2 p.m. on the 6th of next month at the Sangam Esplex Center Multipurpose Hall. The event will be live-streamed online on the agency’s official YouTube channel.
The presentations will proceed in the following order: ▲ Announcement of the 2023 Publishing Industry Survey Results (Seorabeol Co., Ltd. Metrics Research Planning Department Manager) ▲ Population Changes and the Publishing Market ? Proposals for the Senior Generation and Reading (Baek Hwa-hyun, Senior Picture Book Planner at Baekhwamanbal Publishing) ▲ Generative AI: An Innovation Enabler for the Publishing Industry (Lee Ho-soo, former President of SK Telecom). The session will be moderated by Lee Hong, Executive Director of Sahoe Pyollon Co., Ltd.
This event will be held both online and offline, and participation is possible through prior registration. Pre-registration is available on the Publishing Promotion Agency’s website until 5 p.m. on December 5.

A representative from the Publishing Promotion Agency stated, “This conference will be an opportunity to discuss topics such as the publishing industry survey results, population changes and reading, and collaboration with AI in publishing.” They added, “Following this, we will hold the second half conference of the Publishing Integrated Distribution Network (hereafter Publishing Network) operated by the agency, aiming to gather consensus on various issues in the publishing industry through diverse perspectives and presentations.”
