Yoon Returns Home After Completing APEC Summit Schedule
President Yoon Suk-yeol returned to Korea on the 18th after completing a 4-day, 2-night schedule at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
President Yoon and his wife, Kim Keon-hee, arrived at Seongnam Seoul Airport in the afternoon using the presidential aircraft, Air Force One.
President Yoon departed for San Francisco, USA, on the 15th to attend the APEC summit. At the first session of the APEC summit, President Yoon emphasized the use of carbon-free energy, eco-friendly smart mobility, and closing gaps to overcome the climate crisis.
In the second session, he called for the establishment of an early warning system to restore free trade and supply chains.
President Yoon also held a trilateral meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, evaluating the strengthened cooperation among Korea, the U.S., and Japan. Additionally, he held a separate bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Kishida and participated in a roundtable discussion at Stanford University in the U.S.

President Yoon will depart again on the 20th for a state visit to the United Kingdom. Immediately after the UK visit, he will move to France to promote the bid for the 2030 World Expo (Expo) in Busan.
