Gangnam-gu Hosts 'Robot Plus Festival'

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) held the opening ceremony of the "1st Gangnam Robot Plus Festival" on the 17th at the 1st floor east lobby of COEX.
This Robot Festival is the first festival planned by Gangnam-gu to promote its robot business development policy both domestically and internationally, and to showcase various robots from robot companies ahead of the opening of the Suseo-dong 730 Robot Plus Demonstration Support Center, scheduled for completion at the end of this year. The festival will be held for three days from the 17th to the 19th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The robot exhibition features participation from three robot-related institutions and 20 companies, presenting robots for industrial sites, medical and healthcare, education, and food manufacturing and serving. Additionally, the 730 Robot Plus Demonstration Support Center is configured as a twin space identical to the actual center, allowing visitors to experience industrial robots that will operate at the support center.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, "This Robot Festival not only allows people to see at a glance the robot development projects being promoted in Gangnam-gu but also to experience robots currently used in various aspects of our daily lives. Moving forward, we will promote specialized robot projects unique to Gangnam-gu and create Gangnam as a robot-friendly city leading South Korea's future robot industry."
