Metal implant gains 'sticky' superpower on body... "52 magnetic implants, world record"
'The Most Implants' World Record
Detectable Radiation, Current, and Electromagnetic Waves
MRI Scans Impossible Due to Internal Chip
An American woman who has implanted a total of 52 magnetic implants in her body made headlines in February after setting a Guinness World Record.
According to U.S. media outlets such as the New York Post, the woman is Anastasia Thin (48), who resides in California. This year, she achieved the Guinness World Record for "the woman with the most implants in her body." Currently, the number of implants inside her body reaches 52.
Thanks to the magnetic implants, Thin possesses a "superpower" that allows her to attract metal objects with her body. This ability is said to be useful for finding small, inconspicuous earrings.
The implants also assist her in her profession. As a performer, Thin has implanted magnetic devices in her ears that produce sound, as well as implants that allow her to hear copper wires or Bluetooth receivers inside her head.

Through this, she can even determine whether sufficient power is being supplied inside an electrical box.
Thin originally hails from Toronto, Canada, and initially tried implants herself to verify their safety before her daughter, who wanted implants, underwent the procedure. Since then, she has experimented with unique implants on her own.
To honor her late husband, she implanted a microchip above her heart. This implant plays a video from their wedding when her heart is scanned.
However, her implant procedures are reported to be somewhat risky. In particular, Thin only had some implants inserted with the help of surgeons and nurses, while many others were self-implanted or done with the assistance of friends. Performing implant procedures on oneself carries potential dangers. There is also a risk of the implants malfunctioning inside the body.
Regarding this, Thin told the media, "If I were diagnosed with a disease requiring regular MRI scans, I would remove all the implants." Due to the magnetic fields emitted by the implants inside her body, she is currently unable to undergo MRI examinations. Additionally, toxins from the coatings on implant materials such as copper wires and permanent magnets pose a risk of poisoning internal organs.
Thin carefully monitors the health of the implants she has placed in her body. Malfunctioning implants must be immediately removed and replaced with new ones.
