'Busan Expo Promotion' Hyundai Art Car Runs Through APEC City San Francisco
Hyundai Motor Group is deploying a specially designed art car to San Francisco, USA, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is being held. This move aims to strengthen the final bid efforts as the decision for the 2030 World Expo host city approaches in two weeks.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 14th that from the 11th to the 17th of this month (local time), during the APEC summit held in San Francisco, California, USA, it will support the bid for the Busan World Expo by utilizing an art car that embodies the charm of Busan and the aspiration to host the Expo.
The APEC summit is an international conference where leaders of 21 member countries in the Asia-Pacific region, along with foreign and trade ministers and economic figures, gather to discuss economic, trade, and diplomatic issues.

With the vote to select the host city for the 2030 World Expo scheduled for the 28th, Hyundai Motor Group plans to actively promote Busan’s vision and competitiveness at this APEC summit, which attracts global attention. To emphasize the Busan Expo’s distinctive point of being a 'carbon-neutral Expo through the application of eco-friendly technology,' Hyundai Motor Group selected three electric vehicles?the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Genesis G80 electrified model?as art cars.
The Hyundai Motor Group art cars are wrapped with graffiti designs expressing the slogan 'BUSAN is Ready'?which conveys the hope for Busan’s hosting?along with major symbols of Busan such as Gwangandaegyo Bridge and seagulls, all portrayed with the sensibility of K-culture.
Hyundai Motor Group will operate the art cars near the venue of the APEC summit and around major landmarks in San Francisco. The cars will promote Busan as the optimal city to host the World Expo to key figures from various countries attending the event as well as tourists visiting San Francisco from around the world. Additionally, the art cars will be exhibited at the main plaza of 'Pier 39,' a major shopping mall and landmark in San Francisco.
