View original imageThe Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that on the morning of the same day, Minister Yoo will hold a meeting at Sulwhasoo House in Bukchon, Jongno-gu, Seoul, with Lee Boo-jin, Chairperson of the Visit Korea Year Committee, as well as representatives from tourism, beauty, fashion, and K-POP dance sectors to listen to on-site opinions on new tourism trends preferred by foreign tourists and discuss tourism strategies in line with the 2023-2024 Visit Korea Year.
Minister Yoo plans to meet with various industry participants to hear candid stories about providing K-Culture experience opportunities to foreign tourists through beauty sectors such as cosmetics and plastic surgery, fashion, and K-POP dance experiences, and to discuss strategic measures to attract foreign tourists linked to these experiences.
The meeting was planned to explore tourism strategies with the industry that convert the high awareness of K-Culture into demand for visits to Korea amid the recovery of international tourism following the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to CreateTrip, a K-content tourism platform, foreign sales at hair salons affiliated with the company increased eightfold, and OneMillion Dance Academy is highly popular, with 80% of its K-dance academy students being foreigners.
Minister Yoo said, "In celebration of the '2023-2024 Visit Korea Year,' we plan to devote all efforts to discovering and spreading differentiated tourism content that allows foreign tourists to directly visit and enjoy our country, the origin of K-Culture."

He added, "In particular, we will do our best to attract 20 million foreign tourists in 2024 by cooperating with various private entities, including the Visit Korea Year Committee."
