KakaoBank Fintech Support Project Results... Participating Companies Attract 1.6 Billion Investment
'Fintech Innovation School' Performance Report Meeting Held
Kakao Bank announced on the 13th that companies participating in its fintech startup discovery and support program, 'Fintech Innovation School,' have achieved results such as attracting investments worth 1.6 billion KRW and increasing sales by more than 30%. On the 10th, Kakao Bank held a performance report meeting for the 'Fintech Innovation School' program together with the Korea Fintech Support Center.
The participating companies provide financial innovation technologies as their main services in four areas: ▲financial fraud detection and prevention ▲financially marginalized groups ▲financial care ▲small business owners. Through this support project, they achieved high business performance, including an average investment attraction of 1.6 billion KRW, a 33.5% increase in sales compared to the previous year, and recruitment of outstanding personnel.
Through this program, Kakao Bank provided 1:1 mentoring programs, IR (Investor Relations) consulting, and fintech-specialized accelerating to 20 excellent fintech startups. Additional project funds were also provided to eight companies that performed well in the mid-term evaluation.
Donations for fintech support were also made. Kakao Bank delivered 1.2 billion KRW to the Korea Fintech Support Center with the goal of advancing the fintech company discovery and support program.

A Kakao Bank official stated, "The advancement of financial technology is very important to prevent the increasing financial crimes day by day," and added, "We will strive to support fintech startups with excellent technology and discover various ideas to create a safe financial service usage environment."
