Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Attends the 6th Mapo Disabled Human Rights Film Festival
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the 6th Mapo Disability Human Rights Film Festival held at the Majung Hall of Mapo Central Library on the afternoon of the 10th.
Hosted by Gaon Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities (Director Oh Sang-man) and the Seoul Disability Human Rights Film Festival, about 300 audience members attended this festival, where four films aimed at enhancing understanding of disabilities and human rights awareness were screened.
Afterwards, a Q&A session with the audience took place, allowing viewers to share their impressions and resolve any questions about the works.

In his congratulatory speech, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I hope this film festival becomes a stepping stone for our society to overcome the thresholds of discrimination and prejudice, moving toward a society where both persons with and without disabilities can be happy." He added, "Mapo District will also make every effort to ensure that persons with disabilities can live confidently as members of the local community."
