What Are the Three Keys to Success for 'K-Global Tech'?
'K-Global Cluster' Day 3 Schedule
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) announced on the 10th that, as part of the third day of the K-Global Cluster schedule, it held an event under the theme "Three Keys to Success for K-Global Tech: Regulatory Innovation, Overseas Certification, and Global Expansion."
For tech companies to become global leaders driving innovation based on creative ideas, it is essential to leverage the government's prompt regulatory innovation as a foundation, prove competitiveness and stability through obtaining overseas certifications, and actively seek opportunities for global market entry through open innovation with various stakeholders.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is improving systems by demonstrating new technology-based products and services through regulatory free zones and proving their safety. Additionally, based on the agreement signed last April with the U.S. company UL Solutions to support startups in obtaining overseas certifications, the ministry has committed to systematically assisting domestic startups in acquiring international certifications.
Furthermore, the ministry has been operating the global open innovation program "Startup Autobahn Korea," run by the world-renowned mobility company Mercedes-Benz, for four years, systematically supporting the innovation and growth of startups.
At the regulatory free zone performance sharing meeting held that day, participants reviewed the achievements of the regulatory free zones over the past five years and explored future directions. At the international certification seminar, the global certification company UL Solutions shared various success and failure cases related to companies' international certifications.
An event was also held to review the achievements over the past four years and explore future paths since the introduction of 'Startup Autobahn,' the largest open innovation platform in the mobility sector, to Korea.
