Kim Jong-pil, Executive Vice President and Head of Quality Management Center at LG Electronics, received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at the '2023 Product Safety Day' awards ceremony held on the 9th.
Product Safety Day is an event that recognizes and rewards individuals and organizations who have contributed to public safety through exemplary product safety activities throughout the entire process of production, distribution, and use of products. It is hosted by the National Institute of Technology and Standards and organized by the Korea Product Safety Management Institute. This year marks the 16th anniversary, and the event was attended by Jang Young-jin, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Jin Jong-wook, Director of the National Institute of Technology and Standards, and Lee Jae-man, President of the Korea Product Safety Management Institute.

Meanwhile, LG Electronics maintains its number one position in quality competitiveness in the home appliance industry in the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey conducted by the Korea Productivity Center, based on its differentiated quality management system and advanced technology. This year, LG Electronics ranked first in 15 out of 18 product categories, excluding mobile devices, achieving the highest number of first-place product categories for eight consecutive years. In particular, drum washing machines and air conditioners have held the number one spot for 18 consecutive years.
