Suwon City Launches Special Bedbug Inspections at Lodging and Bathhouses
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a special bedbug inspection targeting lodging facilities within the jurisdiction until the end of this year.
On the 9th, Suwon City announced plans to carry out hygiene inspections on 454 locations, including lodging facilities and bathhouses within the city, following recent discoveries of bedbugs in jjimjilbangs and lodging facilities outside the area.
The main inspection items include ▲presence of bedbugs ▲whether the business premises are disinfected at least once a month ▲whether bedding and towels in lodging rooms are washed after use ▲whether bathhouse changing rooms, lockers, and bathing areas are cleaned at least once daily.
Along with the hygiene inspections, Suwon City plans to distribute bedbug information booklets produced by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency to all businesses.
