Monthly Rent 200,000~450,000 KRW... Gangbuk-gu Recruiting Tenants for Youth Housing
From the 13th to 24th, Youth Customized Public Rental Housing 'Cheongsoldungji'... Up to 10 Years of Residence if Eligibility is Maintained
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 8th that it is recruiting tenants for the remaining units of the youth demand-tailored public rental housing "Cheongsoldungji" (photo) in cooperation with Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH).
The remaining units supplied this time are a total of 3 units, one each in Cheongsoldungji phases 3 to 5. Each unit has an exclusive area of 32.56㎡ to 39.81㎡ and consists of a bedroom and living room (combined with kitchen), and a bathroom (toilet).
There is also a residents-only community room that can be used as a meeting room, a pilotis parking lot that can accommodate 6 to 8 cars, and it is adjacent to Gaori Station and Hwaggye Station on the Ui-Sinseol Light Rail, Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center, and traditional markets.
Applicants must be youth aged 19 to 39 who are members of a non-homeowning household residing in Seoul, with an income of 50% to 70% or less of the previous year's average monthly urban worker income as of the tenant recruitment announcement date (November 1, 2023). Those with income below 50% must meet separate asset criteria (total assets not exceeding 255 million KRW, and current value of owned vehicles not exceeding 36.83 million KRW).
The rental deposit ranges from approximately 15.68 million to 34.62 million KRW, and the monthly rent is about 200,000 to 450,000 KRW, but conversion between deposit and monthly rent is possible within a certain range. The initial contract period is 2 years, and tenants can live up to 10 years if they maintain eligibility.
Those wishing to apply can check the eligibility and application methods through the announcement posted on the Gangbuk-gu website from the 13th to the 24th, download the necessary forms such as the application form, and apply via email. According to the announcement, the interior of the housing can be viewed during the open house period from the 8th to the 10th.
The district office plans to select tenants in order of highest scores after verifying the authenticity of submitted documents and checking criteria according to the scoring table. The announcement of selected tenants and reserves will be made on February 7 next year on the Gangbuk-gu website, and individual notifications will also be sent to the selected applicants.
