'Gu Ja-gyun, Chairman of LS Electric, Summarily Prosecuted with a 300,000 KRW Fine for Driving at 167 km/h in Downtown'
Gu Ja-kyun, chairman of LS Electric, was summarily indicted for speeding in a high-end sports car in downtown Seoul.
According to the legal community on the 7th, the Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Heo Seong-hwan) summarily indicted Chairman Gu last month on the 24th for violating the Road Traffic Act, imposing a fine of 300,000 won.
Chairman Gu is accused of driving his own Ferrari at a speed of 167 km/h on Olympic-daero on November 9 last year. The speed limit in the section where Chairman Gu was speeding is 80 km/h.

The prosecution also summarily indicted Kim, a manager belonging to the same company, for obstruction of justice with a fine of 5 million won. Manager Kim is accused of visiting the police station last December and stating that he was the one driving the vehicle. Chairman Gu appeared at the police station in March and testified that he was the one driving the vehicle.
