Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, Special Opening of DMZ Camp Greaves Exhibition Hall
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will operate a special trip called ‘DMZ Camp Greaves Autumn Tour’ for tourists wishing to visit the DMZ area from the 10th to the 26th of this month, marking the 70th anniversary of the armistice.
Until now, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization had only opened the Gallery Greaves exhibition hall to passengers of the Paju Imjingak Peace Gondola, but through this special opening, it has expanded to 10 exhibition buildings located within Camp Greaves, a civilian control zone in the DMZ area.
Accordingly, visitors will be able to freely enjoy the autumn atmosphere of the DMZ area along with the unique architecture and exhibitions of Camp Greaves.
The admission fee for this special opening is 3,000 KRW (same for adults and children), and tickets can be reserved on the Yanolja website (www.yanolja.com).
Additionally, tickets can be purchased on-site at the ticket booth in front of the Gallery Greaves exhibition hall after boarding the gondola.
A representative of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization said, "Through this special opening, we hope it will be a meaningful time to look around the history, culture, and art of the DMZ and the traces of the former U.S. military base, and to reflect on the significance of the armistice." However, they added, "Currently, facility construction is underway to improve visitor convenience, so there may be some minor inconveniences."

Camp Greaves, a former U.S. military base, has been developed since 2013 by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization as a peace and security experience facility for civilians, and aims for a second phase of expanded opening in the second half of 2024. Currently, it is being used as a cultural and artistic experience space with various accommodations including exhibition halls.
