Farmers and Urban Residents Gather Together, Pohang Farmers' Unity Festival Held on the 9th
Promoting Unity Among Farmers and Opportunities to Showcase Excellent Agricultural Specialties

The "2nd Pohang Farmers' Unity Festival" will be held on the 9th at Manindang Lawn Square, gathering 13 agricultural organizations from Pohang City.
Hosted by the Pohang City Agricultural Organizations Council (President Bae Young-heung), this event aims to promote harmony among farmers, provide opportunities to experience and promote excellent agricultural specialties and culture, and serve as a platform for mutual exchange between urban and rural areas for sustainable coexistence.
Under the theme "With Pride and Confidence as Farmers, United Toward the Future," the event will proceed with an opening performance, commendations on Farmers' Day, a themed performance delivering hopeful messages to farmers, a cheerful sports day, and a harmony festival.
As part of the exhibition and experience side events, there will be direct sales booths promoting agricultural specialties, exhibitions and demonstrations of agricultural machinery and supplies, and a flea market. Special events will include various hands-on activities such as pottery, natural dyeing, woodworking, an insect experience center, and a chrysanthemum bonsai exhibition.
In particular, on the day of the event, support messages will be conveyed through farmers composing three-line acrostic poems, and a rural village photo contest will be held based on prior applications.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok stated, "Through this event, we aim to create a place for unity and harmony among farmers who are facing difficulties amid rapidly changing environments such as climate change and shifts in consumer patterns," adding, "We will strive further to promote the excellence of local agricultural specialties, activate urban-rural exchanges where farmers and city residents can empathize and communicate, and advance agricultural industry development."
