Polaris Office Expands Web Office B2B Customers... "Incorporating Generative AI"
Polaris Office is expanding its business in the B2B (business-to-business) sector by utilizing 'Polaris Office Web,' the only serverless web office in Korea.
On the 6th, Polaris Office announced that it recently signed supply contracts for Polaris Office Web with LG Inhwa-won, NE Neungyule, and Korea Nitto Optical. There is a growing demand for web office solutions across various industries, including manufacturing and education.
Polaris Office Web is a web office that allows users to edit, save, and share documents such as Hangeul (HWP) and MS Office files online. It enables document work directly in the browser even in environments where office programs are not installed.
By utilizing the web assembly feature based on web standards that do not require a separate server, it overcomes the drawbacks of existing competitors’ HTML server conversion method web offices, such as server overload and functional limitations.
Therefore, Polaris Office Web can be integrated and used with various internal work systems such as the Gyeongnam Office of Education’s future education platform 'iTalkTalk,' as well as external services, companies, and public institutions’ groupware, web mail, web bulletin boards, collaboration tools, and electronic payment services.
A Polaris Office representative stated, "With the goal of web standardization, technical and security support for ActiveX-based Hangeul OCX (OLE Custom eXtension) technology will end on January 1st next year," adding, "To prepare for this, inquiries from corporate customers using groupware about adopting Polaris Office Web are increasing." Polaris Office Web is currently the only serverless web office in Korea.

They continued, "Not only our main cloud service solutions but also recent applications using web office, such as entering the educational market through collaboration with Naver Whale and integration with Tesla displays, are expanding," and added, "We plan to expand various solutions incorporating generative AI from B2C to B2B products."
