Suspect Nam Hyun-hee Investigated in Connection with Jeoncheongjo Accomplice Allegations
The police are summoning and investigating Nam Hyun-hee (42), a former national fencing representative, who is suspected of being an accomplice to Jeon Cheong-jo (27), who was arrested on fraud charges.
On the 6th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that Nam is being investigated as a suspect from around 2:20 p.m. that day. Earlier, a Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official explained that among the 12 complaints, accusations, and petitions filed against Jeon, one case named Nam as an accomplice, leading to her being registered as a suspect.
On the 2nd, Nam denied the accomplice allegations and requested the seizure of a Bentley vehicle gifted by Jeon. The police received 48 items, including the vehicle, jewelry, and luxury goods, voluntarily submitted. A police official stated regarding the confrontation investigation with Jeon and the polygraph test, "We will conduct them if necessary."

The police have identified a total of 20 victims of Jeon's fraud crimes so far, with damages amounting to over 2.6 billion won. Jeon is accused of receiving money from multiple people under the pretext of investment funds, embezzling it, or inducing them to take out loans.
