Hwang Jung-min Transformed into Jeon Du-hwan, Intense Bald Makeover in 'Spring in Seoul'
Actor Hwang Jung-min delivers a powerful performance as Jeon Du-gwang, a character reminiscent of Chun Doo-hwan, in the film Seoul Spring. Ahead of the movie's release, his transformed bald look has been revealed, drawing attention.
In the trailer for Seoul Spring (directed by Kim Sung-soo), released by Plus M Entertainment on the 6th, Hwang Jung-min plays the greedy Security Commander Jeon Du-gwang, who is planning a military coup. Actor Jung Woo-sung portrays Lee Tae-shin, the Capital Security Commander who opposes him to prevent the coup.
The trailer also reveals the chaotic scene of Seoul engulfed in tension immediately after the December 12 military coup. The rebel forces led by Jeon Du-gwang and the suppression troops, including Lee Tae-shin, who try to stop them, face off in a tense standoff, foreshadowing the critical nine hours that determined the fate of the Republic of Korea.
Hwang Jung-min shows Jeon Du-gwang’s greed for power with eyes like a predator stalking its prey as he plans the military coup. Shaking lips and all, he shouts, "If we fail, it's treason; if we succeed, it's a revolution." Attention is focused on whether he will deliver another 'performance of a lifetime.'
