View original imageGyeonggi Province has selected ‘Nuguna Dolbom’ (Care for Everyone), a new care policy, as this year’s public deliberation agenda involving residents, and will conduct a public deliberation process including regional forums, public opinion surveys, and deliberative discussions.
‘Nuguna Dolbom’ aims to provide prompt care services to all residents facing crisis situations causing inconvenience in daily life. It was planned to complement the gaps in existing care services and offer residents more equitable life opportunities.
Through public deliberation involving residents, Gyeonggi Province plans to enhance the sustainability of the ‘Nuguna Dolbom’ project, which is set to be implemented for the first time in 2024, and seek progressive directions for its development.
First, to identify key issues, Gyeonggi Province will hold a small-scale in-depth discussion in early November, involving experts and stakeholder groups (care service providers, welfare officials, and potential beneficiaries).
Additionally, from November 8 to 13, regional forums will be held with residents and local activists such as community leaders to discuss the effective awareness and improvement points of the ‘Nuguna Dolbom’ policy.
The regional forums will be held as follows: ▲Northern region on November 8 in Goyang City ▲Southern region on November 9 in Pyeongtaek City ▲Eastern region on November 10 in Seongnam City ▲Central region on November 13 in Suwon City.
Furthermore, to encourage broad participation, a public opinion survey will be conducted with 2,000 residents, based on which two deliberative forums will be held on December 10 and 17.
The regional forums and deliberative discussions will be broadcast live on Gyeonggi Province’s YouTube channel, and residents wishing to participate online can access the discussions on the day via YouTube (www.youtube.com/@ggholics).
Gyeonggi Province will produce reports and video white papers on the results of the public deliberation process to share with residents and reflect them in future policy improvements.
