Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a volunteer group leader workshop and a field trip for outstanding volunteers in Jeju Island from October 30 to November 2.

View original imageThis event was conducted to boost the pride and professionalism of volunteers, with 36 volunteer group leaders who actively participated in volunteer activities last year and 36 outstanding volunteers with high volunteer activity records attending.
The participants enjoyed nature while exploring major areas of Jeju Island, visited the National Jeju Memorial Cemetery to pay respects to the war heroes, and engaged in volunteer work cleaning tombstones, spending a meaningful time expressing gratitude to those who dedicated themselves to the country.
A volunteer who attended said, “I have been volunteering to help my neighbors, and it has always returned to me with feelings beyond just fulfillment,” adding, “I want to continue participating steadily in volunteer work to contribute to society.”
