Yeosu City, Nationwide 'Yeosu Island Photo?Video' Contest
Natural Scenery of Yeosu Islands and Maritime Bridges Topic
Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that it will hold the ‘2023 Yeosu Island Photo and Video Contest’ open to the entire nation to create a nationwide atmosphere for the successful hosting of the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo.
Entries should be works taken within the past year (December 2022 to November 2023) capturing the beautiful four-season scenery, daily life, and marine bridges of Yeosu’s 365 islands.
The contest is held in two categories: photos and videos. Submissions must meet the specifications including file format (jpg, mp4) and resolution requirements. Each participant can submit up to 2 photos and 1 video, and may enter both categories simultaneously.
The contest is open to all citizens nationwide, and entries along with application forms must be submitted between November 21 and November 30.
The city will select 31 outstanding works through judging with photography and video experts and award a total prize of 30 million KRW.
The final results will be announced on December 22 on the Yeosu City website, and winners will also be notified individually.
The selected works will be used as exhibition content for the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo.

A city official stated, “We hope this contest will raise interest in the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo and provide a good opportunity to reflect on the precious value of islands,” and added, “We look forward to active participation from many people.”
