Woorinet-J Stair, Announces Entry into Performance Business
OurNet, a K-culture content platform company, announced on the 2nd that its subsidiary Jstair will start a performance convention business. Beginning with the hosting of the 'Trot Festival' next year, they plan to promote various events including K-pop concerts and European football teams' Asia tours.
Jstair has signed a cooperation agreement for the convention business with Studio Planet Nine, a performance and exhibition planning company. Their policy is to expand the base of K-culture, including the music market, through domestic and international events, and to increase their dominance in the exhibition and performance markets.
They will jointly hold the Trot Festival in the spring of next year. A task force team has been formed to promote the practical business. They expect the trot craze to settle as a brand festival through the event and become a place for intergenerational communication.
Studio Planet Nine is a media content production company that has planned and produced various K-pop overseas performances together with professionals who have 30 years of experience working at terrestrial broadcasters. OurNet established Jstair last year for a K-culture-based platform business. Starting with art management, they have entered the art field and operate Gallery Stair in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
Jstair plans to release a fandom game utilizing K-pop IP. They operate the fashion brand daub, which recently collaborated with Oh My Girl's Hyojung to showcase fall and winter lines. Starting with the Trot Festival, they will also conduct overseas K-pop concerts and sports events such as European football teams' Asia tours.

Choi Jong-shin, CEO of both OurNet and Jstair, said, "The spread and propagation of the soft power inherent in K-culture, based on OurNet's stable wired and wireless communication IT hardware infrastructure, will create a mutually synergistic combination." He added, "We will expand to platform business that maximizes the influence of K-content."
