Gyeonggi-do Opens 'Digital Future Show' on 2nd... Demonstrations of Drones and Autonomous Driving
The '2023 Digital Future Show,' where one can explore cutting-edge digital future technologies at the turning point of the 4th Industrial Revolution, opened on the 2nd at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan, Goyang City.
Held until the 4th and hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Goyang City, this event is composed of ▲‘Future Mobility,’ where visitors can experience future transportation means such as autonomous driving technology, drones, and urban air mobility (UAM) ▲‘Future City Infrastructure,’ which introduces smart robots, digital healthcare, virtual reality (VR) devices, and other technologies that realize the diverse daily life of the upcoming future city ▲‘Future Space Reconfiguration,’ where new spatial experience technologies such as metaverse platforms, digital twins, and extended reality (XR) games can be experienced.
Detailed content includes drone soccer demonstrations, autonomous delivery robots, immersive media art, augmented reality (AR) sticker photo booths, metaverse virtual reality (VR), and virtual music platforms.
Yeom Tae-young, Deputy Governor for Economy of Gyeonggi Province, said in his opening remarks, "Gyeonggi Province, which has taken the lead in various fostering policies and active support for advanced industries, is very honored to plan the ‘2023 Digital Future Show.’ Gyeonggi Province will proactively respond to lead advanced future industries and realize the value of innovation and opportunity through continuous policy implementation," emphasizing this commitment.
Meanwhile, at the opening ceremony, a win-win cooperation agreement between large and small-medium enterprises was signed by Gyeonggi Province and the Win-Win Growth Committee. According to the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on designating a Gyeonggi Province win-win growth officer, forming and operating a regional council, establishing a win-win growth ecosystem for key industries in Gyeonggi Province, preparing plans to strengthen competitiveness, and discovering issues, best practices, and incentives related to win-win growth in Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province plans to form a regional win-win growth council involving the Win-Win Growth Committee, large and small-medium enterprises, public institutions, and economic experts, and designate a win-win growth officer. The regional council, led by Gyeonggi Province, will promote win-win growth by discovering region-customized issue projects that can strengthen cooperation between large and small-medium enterprises within the province.
