Jung Hyang-cheol claimed the top spot at the TaylorMade Mid-Amateur Championship.
On the 1st, TaylorMade announced, "Jung shot 2-under-par 70 in the final round of the 3rd TaylorMade Mid-Amateur Championship held on the 30th of last month at South Springs Country Club (par 72) in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, securing the championship." Although Jung finished 12th in last year's tournament, he took home the winner's trophy in just his second appearance. He received a performance improvement grant of 10 million KRW and a spot in next year's Korea Bid Amateur Championship hosted by the Korea Golf Association.

Jung, who runs a construction and rental business in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, is a passionate golfer with 25 years of experience, practicing shots at the driving range 5 to 6 days a week. He plays rounds 7 to 10 times a month to hone his competitive skills. Jung expressed his joy, saying, "I am delighted to earn the honor of being the strongest amateur golfer in our country," and added, "I want to share the glory of this victory with the members of my golf club."

Han Jae-ik took 2nd place with 1-under-par 71, and Lee Cheol-shin finished 3rd with an even-par 72. The tournament featured 120 top amateur players who advanced through five rounds of qualifying. The three winners received a full set of TaylorMade tour equipment and an initial tour bag for next year. Additionally, they will hold amateur Team TaylorMade status for one year, along with two monthly discount coupons and two each of hats, balls, and gloves throughout the year.
