Damyang-gun Goes All Out to Promote Population Policy to Businesses
Joint Campaign with Youth Policy Council for ‘Damyang-ae (愛) Address Ownership’ Promotion
Damyang-gun is making every effort to promote policies aimed at increasing the population among local businesses.
On the 27th, Jeonnam Damyang-gun and the Youth Policy Council toured major local companies and the Damyang Eco Industrial Complex to carry out the ‘Damyang-ae (愛) Address Registration’ campaign, the county announced on the 31st.
The county and the council visited two major companies and the Eco Industrial Complex to provide information on benefits available upon relocation and encouraged workers who actually live in Damyang but have not changed their address to do so.
Damyang-gun is implementing multifaceted population policies in response to population decline.
In addition to existing policies such as supporting dormitory fees for local high school and university students and housing management fees for military personnel, the county is accelerating the development of new policies to revitalize the area, including providing ‘Damyang Pantry Packages’ to households that relocate.
In June, the ‘Damyang Daedeok Maesan District’ was selected in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s regional vitality town creation project competition, which will further accelerate improvements in residential conditions to attract retirees and young people to move into the area.
