Activation of Dongbaek Plus Franchise Stores - Plus Point System, Expected Virtuous Cycle Structure to Encourage Consumption
Busan City will implement the Dongbaekjeon Plus Point System (P Point System) for five weeks from the 30th to December 3rd.
The 'Plus Point System (P Point System)' is a system designed to promote the use of Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores, which are special merchants of the local currency Dongbaekjeon that has been in operation since July.
Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores are merchants where Busan City (online marketing + additional 2% cashback) and small business owners (3-10% self-discount) add benefits for citizens to increase sales of small businesses.
If you pay 10,000 KRW or more (based on the original payment amount before discount) with the Dongbaekjeon QR code at Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores during one week (Monday to Sunday), you will be refunded 5,000 KRW as Plus Points the following week.
Plus Points can be used again at Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores until the end of this year, and since the system is implemented for five weeks, you can receive up to 25,000 KRW.
For more detailed information, please refer to the Dongbaekjeon app or check through the Dongbaekjeon customer center.
The city is promoting various policies such as the ‘You Too Event’ and the ‘Specialized Street Project’ to revitalize Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores.
The ‘You Too Event,’ which has been ongoing from the early days of Dongbaek Plus stores in August until the end of November, compensates small business owners for discount amounts incurred upon joining Dongbaek Plus up to a maximum of 150,000 KRW, and if a store recommended by the participant joins as a Dongbaek Plus affiliated store, the participant receives 20,000 KRW in Dongbaekjeon points.
The ‘Specialized Street Project,’ which started on the 23rd, is a project to create streets densely populated with Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores, expected to improve accessibility and convenience for using Dongbaek Plus stores and revitalize the local alley commercial districts. Currently, Oncheoncheon Cafe Street and Songjeong Surf Village are participating as pilot areas.
While the policies implemented so far have focused on inducing membership to Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores, the current Plus Point System aims to promote the increased number of Dongbaek Plus affiliated stores to citizens and encourage consumption. It seeks to create a virtuous cycle of membership induction and consumption promotion, ultimately aiming for more Dongbaek Plus affiliated store memberships and increased usage rates.
