Lee Seon-gyun Rapid Test 'Negative'... "Collected Hair and Urine Sent to National Forensic Service"
Actor Lee Seon-gyun (48), who is suspected of drug charges, tested 'negative' in a preliminary reagent test.
The Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the afternoon of the 28th that they summoned Lee on suspicion of marijuana and psychotropic drugs under the Narcotics Control Act and investigated him for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and the preliminary reagent test result was 'negative.'
The police obtained a search warrant for Lee's body from the court on the 25th and conducted the preliminary reagent test on the same day. The preliminary test usually reacts if drugs have been used within 5 to 10 days. Considering the lower accuracy of the preliminary test, the police plan to send Lee's hair and urine samples to the National Forensic Service for a detailed analysis.
A police official said, "It is expected to take about a month to get the detailed test results," adding, "We will determine whether drugs were used, as well as the type and frequency." The police also seized Lee's mobile phone and vehicle.
On the day, Lee refused to testify regarding the drug use allegations and ended the investigation after about an hour, then went home. When leaving the police station, he told reporters, "Today, I voluntarily submitted my mobile phone and responded to the necessary requests for the next formal investigation," adding, "I will sincerely answer as the police said they will call me again soon."
