Korea Health Industry Development Institute Hosts 'K-BIC Venture Cafe'
The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the afternoon of the 26th that it held the 3rd ‘K-BIC Venture Cafe’ October meeting at the Health Industry Innovation Startup Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The K-BIC Venture Cafe is modeled after the 'Venture Cafe Thursday Gathering' of the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) Venture Cafe in Boston, USA, and was planned to promote exchanges between biohealth startup companies and various industry stakeholders.
Since its launch in August, the K-BIC Venture Cafe started with the theme of 'Investment Heat on a Hot Summer Day' for its first meeting, and in the second meeting last month, it was co-hosted with the ‘2023 K-BIC STAR DAY’ to hold a technology presentation (IR) for promising startups along with a one-on-one business partnering program, facilitating networking between startups and investors.
In this meeting, based on the demand survey from the previous meeting, a presentation was held on the topic most interesting to startups: ‘Startup Investment Attraction Strategies and Fund Formation from the Venture Capital (VC) Perspective,’ followed by active networking between pre-registered startups and investors in a comfortable and autonomous atmosphere.
