Kim Jong-hyun, Vice Chairman of DL Chemical, "Leading Compliance Management Strengthening and Transparent Transactions"
DL Chemical announced on the 26th that it held the ‘DL Chemical Compliance Day’ at its headquarters in D-Tower Donuimun, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The event, held to strengthen compliance management capabilities and establish a fair trade culture, proceeded in the following order: ▲ Sharing the 2023 compliance management activity achievements and key fair trade guidelines ▲ Awarding outstanding departments for autonomous compliance ▲ Compliance oath-taking ▲ Fair trade-related education. About 80 executives and employees, including Kim Jong-hyun, Vice Chairman of DL Chemical, reaffirmed their commitment to compliance management.
Kim Jong-hyun, Vice Chairman of DL Chemical, said at the event, “To enhance fair trade capabilities, an accurate understanding of fair trade laws and a strong will to comply are essential,” adding, “We will continue to comply with procedures related to fair trade and strive to create a culture of transparent transactions from the perspective of coexistence with our partners.”
Since 2004, DL Chemical has introduced the Fair Trade Autonomous Compliance Program and has been conducting various compliance activities. This year, in addition to fair trade education and inspections, the company newly started publishing a customized fair trade handbook and a compliance newsletter to build a fair trade culture that employees can actually experience. Efforts to promote win-win cooperation with partners were also strengthened by introducing a delivery payment linkage system that adjusts payments according to market fluctuations.
DL Chemical’s various efforts for compliance management were recognized when it obtained the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance management system ‘ISO 37301’ certification from the Korea Compliance Promotion Agency in September last year. The company underwent a follow-up audit in June this year and maintained the certification. ISO 37301 is an international standard certification established by the International Organization for Standardization in April 2021. It is awarded after evaluating whether the compliance policies and risk response systems that may occur throughout company management meet global standards and are effectively operated.
