Gumi-si Opens 'Jinhak Jinro Support Center'... Soaring as an Educational City

On the 25th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk opened the 'Gumi City College Admission and Career Support Center' to strengthen local educational competitiveness.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 50 people, including Mayor Kim Jang-ho, National Assembly member Koo Ja-geun, City Council Chairman Ahn Joo-chan, Lee Sung-hee, Superintendent of Gumi Education Support Office in Gyeongbuk Province, city and provincial council members, and members of educational organizations. The event proceeded with a progress report, a report on the center's operation plan, and a plaque unveiling ceremony.
The College Admission and Career Support Center aims to meet the interests and demands of students and parents regarding admission information and career paths, providing admission information suited to the rapidly changing educational environment and systematic career exploration opportunities. It is expected to bridge the information gap with the metropolitan and large cities and strengthen local educational competitiveness.
The center will establish a continuous counseling system to respond to various admission and career demands and implement 1:1 customized consulting linked with metropolitan area admission specialist companies for in-depth counseling tailored to each student. Additionally, through various programs such as admission briefings, expert lectures on job experiences, and parent academies, the center plans to serve as a guide for Gumi City students' college admission and career paths.
One-on-one admission and career counseling, conducted regularly, can be scheduled five times on weekdays (10:00 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:30 PM) and twice on Saturdays (9:30 AM, 11:00 AM), and all counseling sessions are free of charge.
An admission briefing for middle school students and parents titled "Characteristics of the 2027 College Entrance and High School Selection" will be held on October 30 at Gumi CO.
