MBC 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' Interview
"No Exclusion of New Party Formation... No Discussions with Yoo Seung-min"
Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok evaluated the 'In Yo-han Innovation Committee,' launched after the crushing defeat in the Seoul Gangseo District Mayor election, by saying, "There are no citizens expecting any great innovation plans to be presented at this point."
On the 25th, on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' Lee said, "At first, the appointments were interesting enough to take a look at once," but added, "Anyway, the innovation plans thrown out?I have also been an innovation committee chairman?if there is nothing to do, the usual talk is about 'giving up privileges,' but most of the contents in those plans are actually lies."

He continued, describing the current ruling party situation as, "Except for that, nothing else matters," and said, "The president has said several times that he is not interested in party leadership, but to many citizens now, it seems like he is very interested in controlling the party."
When asked whether he is considering forming a new party ahead of next year's general election, he said, "I am not preparing for it, but I do not rule it out." Regarding rumors of a new party with former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, he said, "At least, I am not consulting with former lawmaker Yoo."
Regarding his candidacy for the Nowon-byeong district in Seoul, he said, "I have diligently visited the area for eight years, and my goal has always been to challenge difficult places and win, and I have done that happily," adding, "There is almost no chance that I would lose in the primary in Nowon-byeong, as anyone can see."
