According to Barun Law on the 24th, Barun and Korea FRA held a signing ceremony for the 'Forensic Service Provision' business agreement at the Barun Building in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu the previous day.
Barun and FRA plan to leverage their respective expertise to provide clients with high-quality forensic consulting services in various fields including ▲ forensic accounting ▲ data forensic work in areas such as anti-corruption cases and information technology leakage incidents ▲ digital forensics and e-Discovery consulting services.
FRA is a multinational forensic consulting firm headquartered in the UK, with over 250 experts across 12 offices including the United States, providing forensic services to global companies and advisory firms for the past 25 years.
They specialize in providing services for analyzing large-scale complex transaction data and have particular strengths in efficient data analysis and evidence collection using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, excluding corporate security materials.
In 2022, FRA established its first local subsidiary in the Asian market in Korea, partnering with Chairman Younggak Yoon, founder of Samjong KPMG, and recruiting experts with experience in forensic investigations and audits from prosecution and accounting firms to provide forensic services to corporations, institutions, and law firms.
Jaepil Park, representative lawyer of Barun, stated, "Digital forensic services are an essential core element for companies, civil and criminal cases, and various investigations by government agencies in an increasingly advanced information society. Especially in international litigation and arbitration, e-Discovery is a mandatory procedure, and if the Korean-style e-Discovery currently under discussion is introduced, related demand is expected to increase."
